Has you know, each race has its own ultimate weapon. To easy the check of its availability, A icon representing its state was added to the top menu.

All the weapons have 3 states: Not available, Ready and not ready. Each of this states is represented bu an image.

Below is the example for the beacon:

The movement now adapts to the zone your in. If the next sector you’re entering to is an undiscovered sector (Pure Black), then your fleet movement will be reduced by 4 ticks. This means that the fleet will stay in the sector for 4 turns until it moves to the next one.

The Time to Arrive is also adaptive. If you are traveling in a discovered zone the time to arrive will be the normal one, but if your enter, for some reason, in a undiscovered zone, that time will adapt and will be recalculated.

On this new tournament we are testing the new powers, and I have to say that Paralyse and Bomb Attack are really nice. I used to think that the bug units were weaker, but now I believe that the bug units are well balanced.

Here’s a full powered bomb attack example:

And the result:

In Orion’s Belt a gladiator isn’t a slave, he is a proud and valuable warrior. So we made some changes in the arenas:

  • If an arena doesn’t have a owner, the player who enter for the first time doesn’t have to pay.
  • In the first day of each month the owners of arenas for more than 30 days will receive in orions 10 times the level of the arena.

Play Orion’s Belt Browser Game NOW!

Browser Game of the Year is a contest just like the Oscars but for Browser Games.

Although Orion’s Belt wasn’t selected for any category, you can Vote for the Community Award.

A link was added to the right side of the blog in order to make the vote.

Let’s try to make Oriopn’s Belt one of the Games with most votes.

We are really good guys, so we decided to give as prize in every tournament (even those that you don’t have to pay the registration), 1000 orions to the winner and 250 to the runner-up.

We had some troubles launching the tournament over night, and only a small part of the battles were generated. We had to erase them all and regenerate. We’re sorry to those that had already positioned.

Hopefully we won’t get any more problems. Play away!

Several time, when you go to the universe, a big empty image appears, with a very cute background.

For the ones that didn’t notice, in the right side of the messages, there are several links:

  • Show Planets
  • Show Fleets
  • Show WormHoles
  • Show Markets
  • Show Arenas

This links show the position in the universe of your fleets, planets, discovered wormholes, discovered markets and discovered arenas. The below image represents all you can see in this map.

Noticed the menu with several coordinates? Because the universe is so big, we joined 4 sectors in one in order the images to appear in a acceptable size. That’s why you might see several planets or fleets in the popup.

If you click in any element, a zoom is made in those sectors (might be useful).

Until now the effects like Paralyse and Infestation were merely and idea. Because you looked into the board but you didn’t see what were the units affected by these effects.

Now those effects gain pretty images:

Paralyse:

Infestation:

This is a paper he is writing as he is playing.
