After noticed that the reward of the colonizer quests were not well adjusted, because they gave to must resources for the silo level, we reduced the resource that these quests give. For the newer players, they will take few resources but will receive more score and colonize points, so this way we try to make some equilibrium. Check the manual to see the changes.

After lots and lots of requests we finally have available a payment system based on mobile text message.
For now is just available for Portugal but we expect soon have more countries in the supported list.

Be careful that the message in the picture is for my user, so you need to go to your Buy Orions page to know your message.

At this moment we’re having the first Regicide tournament. As you may know, on regicide battles the objective is to destroy the opponent’s Flag. Also note that the tournament’s winner will get 1000 Orions and the runner-up 250 Orions.

On this tournament we have a ultimate unit: the powerfull Queen. The Queen can win a match for you, because she’s able to spawn and Egg that will hatch a Maggot. The Maggot is a very powerfull light unit with bomb attack. So, you must try to get it!

But getting it can be dificult, because you need to spend 6 movement points do place it, and then more 8 turns before it hatches. But here are a few tips to help you:

  • Plan early – you should start thinking on deploying the maggot on your first turn; leave an empty square, already protected, to be able to create an egg as soon as possible
  • While hatching, the Egg is really very vulnerable, so you better protect it well (but don’t forget about the flag!)
  • If you opponent places an Egg, consider placing your own on the next turn
  • Try to never be in a position where your opponent has maggots and you don’t

For those who do not know if you press F11 in IE or Firefox the experience of playing Orion’s Belt will become much more pleasant. The visual is almost as you are playing in a client application instead of a browser.

The battle API, previously mentioned here, is now available at the manual: Battle API. It’s still very beta but we are already working on it, trying to create some bots.
