We had made a change to the relics profit, now we think we have a fairer distribution among the members of an alliance. All the members that are inactive (didn’t play in the last 7 days) will not receive their part of the profit, their part will be divided among the other members of the alliance.

Many players requested us to reduce the vacations limit and turn the game more competitive. So here go the new rules:

  • When a player register in the game he receives 7 days of vacations.
  • On the 1st of each month all players will receive 8 additional days of vacations. The maximum is 15 days.

This means if you have 3 days of vacations you will have 11, but if you have 12 days you will just have 15 days when the new month begins.

Underground sources just reported that the mighty Metallic Beard and a legion of Titans are available for challenge at a campaign near you. That’s right, we’ve created a new campaign level with Mercs units.

Mercs units are also now included on the random fleets generated for tournaments and arenas.

Enjoy! :)

This feature is one of the most requested we had. What is the storehouse? Is a place where members of the alliance can deposit resources to be distributed among all members of the alliance.

Just the admirals can give resources to players but all players can and should put resources to help the alliance. Adding resources to the storehouse is similar of adding resources to the auction house, you can’t put rare resources while you have a planet in battle, and the storehouse have a fee as the auction house have.

Last couple of months we have several complains about some low level players that conquered some high level planets and, because of the protection rule, they could not be attacked.

The same problem happened with the relics. Some alliances were making low level players just to surround the relics. Because the low level could not be attacked, the relics were completely out of range.

So we decided to remove the protection of levels 9 and 10. Those zones are no place for a low level player. So if he enters those zones, he will suffer the consequences.

This means that all the players of all the levels will not have any kind of protection as soon as they enter a level 9 zone.

This rule has just been deployed so, you can already start to attack the low level players in the level 9 and 10 zones.

The Rookies Cup is one day away from starting. The Rookies Cup is an open tournament for players under 1100 ELO. This means that all the more experienced players are out, and all the other players can battle fair and square and improve their skills. The Rookies will be a great practice for the Intergalactic Tournament.

There have been some discussion about the protection of weaker players. Some find the current rules to be better for the weaker ones, and others find the rules to be better for the stronger ones. Here’s what we have now:

  • A player can’t attack another if his level is 3 levels below his
  • Every player with level >4 don’t have any protection

This has some problems. The first detected problem was that alliances put low level players making defense rings around the relics. That way, stronger level 10 players wouldn’t be able to attack them. The other problem was that low level players that moved to soon to the higher level areas, were being completely annihilated.

The fact is: we simply can’t protect low level players on high level areas. Period. Or else the game wouldn’t run. So we’re thinking on limiting the protection per area/level and disallow high level planet conquering to low level members.

What do you think?
