Our good friends of On RPG made a very nice review about Orion’s Belt.

Read it Here.

In conclusion, here are the prons and cons pointed to Orion’s Belt.

Pros:
- Graphics-centered interface
- Simple yet very addictive battle system
- Very accommodating community.

Cons:
- Not joining the competitive battles takes out most of the fun
- Some game systems are too familiar and is better done by other browser games
- Moving and exploring takes a lot of time.

I was very happy to see such a nice review of the game. All the Cons are being discussed by the team and we are trying to find solutions to resolve them ( and believe, we got some :) ).

Such a review makes me think that, if Orion’s Belt could reach a wider audience, if could be a huge success.

If you want to help spread Orion’s Belt, don’t forget that all the players have a referral link. You win by referring, we win by getting new players, and the community wins by getting new people to play with.

This past weekend your beloved Orion’s Belt team was at the Browser Games Forum 2009. We met a lot of the industry’s leaders, learned a lot, and made a lot of connections, that may prove quite useful on the future.

We also got the time to travel a little and know Frankfurt. According to Tiago, on the Saturday’s afternoon we walked 15 Km. I believe we saw almost all Frankfurt.

While we walked all that time, we didn’t know that we had on the front of our hotel a special epic mount just for us (notice the license place):

We already had available payments via Paysafecard, but now we got delivered to our office a lot of prepaid custom paysafe cards. :)

We’ll use these free cards for game promotion and will distribute them wherever we can. Even so they look like good material for collectors. Will anyone have all custom Orion’s Belt cards? :)

Here they are for you to see:

We were checking out the referrals and we noticed that the playbg.com site had made a list for the Top 10 Space Browser Games. And the Orion’s Belt space browser game is right there on the 5th position. :) You can see their page for Orion’s Belt here.

Our current partnership with bbgsite.com gave us some days with a great banner exposure on their site. You can see Captain Wolf and Metallic Beard calling out for new players.

Pretty cool, isn’t it? :)

Like we said the other day, our company was present at the Innovation Days 2009. Here are some picture of our stand. Tiago was our special developer at the place. You can see him at the second picture, with a blue shirt, sited down… instead of working to get new players…

You can click the images to enlarge them. As you can see on the first picture we have a big promo cylinder. We also had a PC with the game for people to try.

We added a new feature to the referral system. Until now you could win orions with referral when a referred player made a payment, now adding to this, you will win 100 orions when a referenced player reaches level 5, and every time a group of 10 players reaches level 5 you will receive 1000 orions.

This feature was suggested by an active member of this blog and the game (Agni), for us it’s very important having this kind of feedback, so with it we can do Orion’s Belt a more pleasant game.
